Scan to PDF
Turn paper documents into a PDF using your device's camera, right in this tab. Start the camera, capture each page, reorder or delete captures as needed, and build a single multi-page PDF. If you'd rather not use the camera — or it's unavailable — you can upload photos instead and they'll be added to the same page list. This works on one device at a time; it doesn't support capturing on your phone and sending the result to your computer, since that would require a server in between.
- Free — no sign-up
- Private — runs in your browser
- Instant results
Capture happens on this device only — nothing is sent to a server, and no other device is involved.
How to use the Scan to PDF
- 1Start the camera or upload photos. Capture pages live, or add existing photos from your device.
- 2Arrange your pages. Reorder, retake, or delete captured pages until the order is right.
- 3Create and download the PDF. Combine every page into a single PDF file.
Frequently asked questions
Can I scan on my phone and finish on my computer?
Not with this tool — everything happens on one device, since sending images between devices would require a server. Capture and build the PDF on the same device.
What if my browser won't let me use the camera?
You'll see a friendly message, and you can still add pages by uploading photos with the file picker instead.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Capturing and building the PDF both happen locally in your browser.
