Compare PDF
Find out what actually changed between two versions of a document. This compares the extracted text of both PDFs word by word and highlights every addition and removal inline — additions in green, removals in red with strikethrough. It's a text comparison, not a visual/pixel diff, so formatting, layout, and image changes aren't detected — only the words themselves. That makes it well suited to contracts, articles, and reports where the wording is what matters.

This compares the text content of two PDFs, not their visual appearance — layout, fonts, and images aren’t compared, only the words.
How to use the Compare PDF
- 1Upload both PDFs. Select the original and the revised version.
- 2Review the highlighted diff. Added text is green, removed text is red and struck through.
- 3Copy the diff if needed. Use "Copy diff as text" to paste the marked-up comparison elsewhere.
Frequently asked questions
Does this compare formatting or layout?
No — it only compares extracted text, word by word. Visual differences like font, color, or image changes aren't detected.
Why are some pages showing as all changed?
If a page failed to extract cleanly (for example, a scanned image with no embedded text), its text will be empty or garbled, which can make the whole page look like one large change.
Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?
No. Text extraction and comparison both happen entirely in your browser.
